Your Child's Journey Begins Here
Discover how easy it is to secure a nurturing place for your child at Ark Montessori Nursery in Croydon, United Kingdom. We're here to guide you through every step of our admissions process, ensuring a smooth start to their Montessori adventure.
Our Admissions Process
Joining the Ark Montessori family is a straightforward journey. Follow these simple steps to enrol your child and secure their place in our vibrant learning environment.
✅ Step 1: Make an enquiry
Families contact Ark Montessori Nursery to request information about the nursery, availability, age groups, sessions offered, fees, and admissions criteria. This can usually be done by phone, email, our website enquiry form, or in person. You can reach us at 07463032960 or arkmontessori2002@gmail.com/arkmontessori@yahoo.com.
✅ Step 2: Arrange a visit / tour
Parents are invited to visit the nursery to tour the environment, meet staff, learn about the Montessori approach, and ask questions. This helps families decide if Ark Montessori is the right fit for their child.
✅ Step 3: Complete an application / registration form
Parents complete a registration or application form providing child’s details, parent/carer contact information, preferred start date and sessions, and any additional needs or medical information. A registration fee may be required at this stage.
✅ Step 4: Place availability check
The nursery confirms whether a space is available for the requested start date and sessions. If a place is not immediately available, the child may be placed on a waiting list.
✅ Step 5: Offer of place
If a place is available, Ark Montessori Nursery issues a formal offer (written or verbal), outlining the start date, sessions booked, fees, and terms and conditions.
✅ Step 6: Accepting the offer
To secure the place, parents confirm acceptance in writing, pay any required deposit or first fees, and return signed agreements or contracts.
✅ Step 7: Submit required documents
Parents provide any necessary documentation, such as the child’s birth certificate, proof of address, immunisation record, and emergency contact details.
✅ Step 8: Settling-in arrangements
The nursery arranges settling-in sessions to help the child transition smoothly, such as short introductory visits and gradual increase in attendance.
✅ Step 9: Start date confirmed
Once all paperwork and payments are completed, the child’s place is fully secured, and they begin attending Ark Montessori Nursery.

- Afternoon session: 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Private costs

| Per session 3 Year old | £25.00 |
Government funding details
Ark Montessori Nursery participates in various government funding schemes, which can significantly reduce your childcare expenses. Eligibility depends on your child's age and family circumstances.
| Age group | Funding type | Details |
|---|---|---|
| 2-year-olds | Eligible families | Up to 15 hours per week of funded childcare. |
| 3–5-year-olds | Universal Funding | 15 hours per week for all families. |
| 3–5-year-olds | Extended Funding | Up to 30 hours per week for eligible working families. |
Payment options & key points
Payments are typically made termly, monthly, or per session for any hours not covered by government funding. A deposit or registration fee may be required to secure your child's place. We recommend checking your eligibility for government funding early, as this can greatly impact your overall costs. Remember to book sessions carefully to distinguish between private and funded hours, and be prepared to provide proof of eligibility, such as a government code for 30-hour funding, which needs to be renewed regularly.
Got More Questions?
We understand you might have further questions about funding, eligibility, or the application process. We've compiled answers to the most common queries to help you.
Applying for government codes
Parents are responsible for applying for and renewing their government funding codes (e.g., for 30-hour funding for 3-5-year-olds). Ark Montessori Nursery cannot apply on your behalf, but we can guide you on where to find the information you need on the government's childcare website. Please ensure you renew your codes by the specified deadlines to continue receiving funding.
Understanding funding coverage
Government funding covers a certain number of hours per week. If your child attends more hours than funded, or if you choose additional services, these will be charged at our private session rate. We will provide a clear breakdown of your costs based on your chosen sessions and funding eligibility.
